Chief Operating Officer
Brent brings more than sixteen years of creative direction and project management experience to Circadian. Over the course of his career, Brent has skillfully transitioned between both the agency and client sides of the aisle and combines strategic insight, creative finesse, and practical expertise. He has both created new and grown established consumer and business brands for a diverse range of industries like 3M, HealthPartners, Land O’ Lakes, Medtronic, Northwest Airlines, Target, and VISI.
Brent leads Circadian’s strategic brand development, management, and advocacy efforts. He manages our team as we determine the exact needs of each client, working through their unique challenges, developing a cohesive strategy, and utilizing that as the driving force behind each of Circadian’s tactical recommendations. Brent oversees the vision, planning and successful execution of all projects so that the results can be fully measured. He also supervises vendor relationships, where he ensures that our partners are aligned on the goals for each project.
Brent is also active with several important community organizations. As an executive member of the Torch Community board, Brent advocated for optimizing member experiences by ensuring the overall authenticity & integrity of the organization’s brand. He established the MNtor program, pairing seasoned and new creatives for professional development, as part of a larger initiative to help grow & sustain AIGA Minnesota. For ten years, Brent has donated his time to review & provide constructive criticism of college students’ creative portfolios through the annual AIGA Portfolio One-on-One event. And to raise funds for curing Multiple Sclerosis & Pancreatic Cancer, Brent has cycled more than 1200 miles for both the National MS Society and PanCAN organizations.
Originally hailing from Duluth, Brent now lives in Minneapolis with his lovely wife, Jen, and their two spirited sons, Max & Sam. He graduated with honors with a degree in fine art and graphic design from the University of Minnesota. When he’s not engaged in developing strategic marketing communications solutions, Brent has many passions including grilling, camping, cycling, Scotch, and his unique collection of radio-controlled vehicles.
